LCC Malls hold Miss University 2016

It was an evening of glitz and glamour when LCC Malls held the Miss University 2016 coronation night amid a huge crowd at the Event Center 1 of LCC Malls Legazpi last Saturday July 3, 2016.

Crowned as Miss University 2016 was Claudine Timola from the University of Asia and the Pacific. Claudine, who received a crown, sash, bouquet and P20,000 from the Philippine Airlines bested 14 other student-candidates from the different colleges and universities. This year’s Miss University also received a sash, bouquet and a flight attendant training contract with a round trip ticket to Manila for being the Miss PAL Express.

The 1st runner-up went to Alexandra Plaza from the Aquinas University Junior High School. She received a crown, sash, bouquet and P15,000 worth of cash and LCC Gift Check. She was also the Best in Talent and Miss Jollibee where she received P5,000 worth of Jollibee Gift Certificate.

The 2nd runner-up went to Evince Pielago from the Bicol University College of Arts and Letters. She received a crown, sash, bouquet and P10,000 worth of cash and LCC Gift check. She was also cited as Miss Red Logo. The other awards went to Shaira Garcia from the Divine Word College of Legazpi for Best in Production Number, Best in Swimsuit and Best in Evening Gown. Irish Mae Morada from the Aquinas University was Miss Evegate University Queen while Pamela Jones Cardiño from the Divine Word College of Legazpi was Miss Photogenic and Social Media Queen.

Earlier, the screening was simultaneously held at the LCC Malls Polangui, Tabaco and Legazpi. The Talent Competition and Sponsors Visit took place last July 23 at the LCC Mall Legazpi.

The other finalists were Rosheena Loise Sabate from the Bicol University College of Social Sciences and Philosophy, Jacqueline Rivera from the Perpetual Help Paramedical College, Rochelle Ann Ramirez from San Francisco Institute of Science and Technology, Verna Boticario from the Bicol University College of Arts and Letters, Allyssa Mae Cabatuan from Ligao Community College, Analiza Karen Fernandez from the Bicol University Polangui Campus, Salley Velle Cedo from the Bicol University College of Arts and Letters, Laurice Angela Blancaflor from the Daniel Peña Memorial College Foundation, and Cara Dane Nipa from Bicol College.

Director Leonides Pena of the PAL Express Inflight Services and Training Department; Mr. Gian Ben Calderon, Ginoo ni Daragang Magayon Turismo 2016; and Ms. Joyce Ann Magpantay, Cagsawa Festival Queen 2016 and Miss Silka Bicolandia 2016 served as judges.

The major sponsors included the Philippine Airlines Express, Transfer It, Digitalcrafts Photography, Colored Candy Studios, Jollibee, Evegate Salon and Spa, H & H Fashion Boutique, One-of-a-Kind Fashion Accessories and Labamba Laundry and Dry Cleaning Services.
