Bicol’s retail giant LCC -Liberty Commercial Center and the Local Government Unit of Libmanan, Camarines Sur held a contract signing for the soon to rise LCC Libmanan on November 4, 2013 at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall.
The contract signing was led by LCC Managing Director for Property Management Ronald Tan and Mayor Marilyn Jimenez with Vice Mayor Rommel Bulaong and members of the Sangguniang Bayan and department heads in attendance.
The momentous occasion was started with a prayer led by Councilor Luis Cañete. Vice Mayor Bulaong rendered the welcome remarks wherein he considered LCC’s coming to the municipality of Libmanan as two steps ahead for the LGU. He said that it’s advantageous to their constituents and a significant achievement towards progress and development.
Mayor Jimenez in her message, thanked the Sangguniang Bayan for cooperating in fast tracking the process as the Plaze Kiosk site needed reclassification which for a longtime been within the commercial area and public market. She also lauded LCC for believing in the LGU leadership and investing in Libmanan.
For his part, Mr. Tan assured Mayor Jimenez’ administration that as partner in development, LCC will provide more local employment, pay taxes and urge co-locators and tenants to likewise get permits and pay their taxes in the municipality as a way of increasing income.
Mr. Tan got a big applause when he mentioned that “finally, through our LCC Foundation, we will be implementing various corporate social responsibility (CSR) projects to help promote social progress and development in the communities. Because LCC believes that LCC is here not only for profit, but also to help improve the quality of life of the people, especially the Libmaneños.”
